MAY MOOD BOARD

As the end of the month is nearing already(!), I have another mood board summarizing all my inspirations and to-do diy project finds from this past month. I hope some of these things will help to inspire you as we head into June!
1. Decorated washer & dryer
When I first saw this idea my first thought was "why didn't I think of that??". I love the black on the white machines but I wonder what it would look like on a stainless steel set, or even white tape on black appliances. I also love the striped/polka dot combination - Hopefully this is something I can try out in the future!

2. Frozen watermelon popsicles
This is another genius idea that I can't wait to try! I love watermelon and I love popsicles, so it would only make sense to have watermelon popsicles (duh!). I can't wait until we're further into summer so I can give them a go.

Most fridges are covered in pictures, calendars and lists, but I really like how this painted fridge almost blends it into the rest of the kitchen, as opposed to a bam-in-your-face cluttered mess. This will be such a fun project to try in a few years! If only I could convince my mom to do this at home ;)

4. The classic milk bottle
So many people have pinned the old milk bottle with a striped straw, but I'm loving this 'trend' as much as everybody else. You can buy a set at a variety of places, or check out this blog post about the bottled Starbucks Frappuccinos being very similar (and much cheaper!) to the real thing.

5. Patterned pants
I can't tell you how much I'm loving patterned pants right now. My goal for the next year is to start a giant collection and wear them every day. Every. Day. (The ones pictured above is taken from tumblr - I wish I could've found the original source to see where they came from!)

6. Ikat
As everything else I've mentioned above, I'm seriously loving the ikat pattern lately. It's very whimsical and structured as well as classy and versatile. For a while I was regretting not getting full on ikat pattern bedding but then after looking closely at the one I did choose last september, there's little hints of it throughout the pattern (I guess my instinct preceded me).

I've liked the whole gallery wall idea for a long time now, but I stumbled across this gold gallery wall from the Classy Clutter blog and I just fell in love with the idea all over again. I think a gallery wall is such a great way to fill an empty wall and make it 'homey'. A gallery wall is definitely something I'd like to include in my apartments and houses in the future!

I really enjoy making these mood boards as it's a fun way to bring my most favourite inspirations and projects together, but also as a way for me to be able to look back and remember what I liked! I know that's basically what pinterest is for, but I find it's VERY easy for pins to get lost in all the boards and options - my mood board being a simple way to pick out the favourites.

I can't wait to see what next month will bring!
